Hilux 4x4 Forum

Anyone interrested in the Rust de Winter Bundu trip. The weekend is already booked but because of a lack of interest there are many spaces available.

It is an interesting trail and would love to do the whole trail but at that price. I cant afford that at this stage. I have done half the trail and was beautiful.

Keep in mind that it's a two day trail and they provide lunch on the Saturday.

I will have to skip this round as well

It seems like I might just be in for this one. The minister of finance seems keen but will have te hear tonight...

To anyone who has not been on this trail - R 450 is an absolute bargain. I'm not saying R 450 is not a lot of money - I'm saying it's excellent value for money. The guides are professional and absolute experts on the trail, the overnight site is not something you will get anywhere in South Africa for under R 500 per person and the trail itself will test your driving skills and your vehicle's capability to the limit. The guides take along recovery equipment (still take your own as well), enough drinking water (water at the base camp is not suitable for human consumption) as well as cooking and other equipment for use at the overnight camp. The scenery is something out of an African adventure movie and there are photo taking opportunities around every corner.

In my humble opinion - A trail one HAS TO experience if you ever get the privilege.

We will think about money if there is 10 confirmed vehicles.
The minimum is 10.

If you leave it for this weekend we may get the other 5 that we need....
I am hoping that it still runs cos its SWAMBO's birthday on the 25 and i wanted to giv her an early birthday present....

I just spoke to Peter from the ATV4x4 and he is FULLY booked right up to 08 Dec

So if we miss this one then the next is only next year.....

Come guys we need a min of 10 Vehicles cos thats what you pay for even if there is only 3 vehicles you pay for the 10.....

This is such a sort after trail and the waiting list is long......
Lets get the 10 vehicles and go enjoy it.....

With the guy from the community forum, (don't know if he is still in) and Jaans, six.

Ek sien daar het lanklaas hier iets verander so ek aanvaar die trip is af. Dit is jammer ek het dit so 20 jaar terug gery saam met iemand en dit was baie lekker.
