A little different if you're doing it for real! ..... especially if it's unintentional!
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Re: Learn How To Wheelie
I rode on and off from about 16 (probably also a late starter by today's standards ), but stopped altogether when the kids came along .... except for the occasional jaunt on someone else's bike. My boet's F1 is an awesome machine .... stands up on the back takkie far too easily for my liking (and {lack of} weight ). Never really been a big street racer fan ... more prefer the 'tourer' type bikes.

Re: Learn How To Wheelie
They have a machine like that on rallies and events around Cape Town, it works well, once you know where the balancing point is, it's much easier, i know someone that started on one.
i learned the hard way many years ago, a few flips and a couple of jump-offs, and you've got it, the old bikes didn't have the expensive plastics.
Haven't done it for many years, tried last year, seems like you never forget it, then i broke my leg doing doughnuts.

Re: Learn How To Wheelie
Fernando THIS is how you learn to wheelie ....
We were heading out for a weekend trip, panniers and top box of the 1200RT loaded. But I first had to attend to a site meeting in Hermanus. So the wife goes with and I drop her off at her aunt in Onrus. After a nice cup of coffee I head out for the meeting - TOTALLY RELAXED - fault number one ...
Not in the mood for a TIGHT turn with this loaded bike I ride around the block ....
I approach a stop street and slow down. I notice a little dog standing on the stoep some distance away. AS I put my foot down at the robot a BIG dog bark/bites NEXT to my ancle !!!!
I drop the clutch and almost stall the bike !
GRAB the clutch and OPEN the throttle to keep the bike from stalling .... and as the dog comes for my ancle I DROP the clutch !! Is was a good 40 to 50m before the front wheel touched down again .....
if anybody saw that they must still be laughing at that sight ....
