Hilux 4x4 Forum

After our very successful Advanced Driver training at Klein Tafelberg in March the team has taken some time out to do a few overlanding tours and are ready to resume 4x4 driver training on the weekend of 25/26 May 2013.

The training on this weekend is according to US254135, the recognised unit standard for the proposed DCC. Cost of the training is R1550 but we would like to extend our special offer to Hilux 4x4 Club members where we will give a R125 discount per person.

Normal Hilux 4x4 Forum members can also qualify for this discount by either joining the Club or getting a group of at least 5 candidates together. This is in line with the special offer we made to other 4x4 forums, except that their groups need to be 10 candidates strong to qualify for the discount.

Get on board, we are getting to a point where our service providers are announcing price increases for their services which we will have to pass on to our clients.

This is good news as it may actually fall into our planned SA holiday
The calendar on your website does not reflect the dates stated?

Apologies for the calendar on our website. It must be changed to reflect our rescheduled dates. At the moment things are a bit deurmekaar with tour schedules being finalised. Since The4x4Co was burned down Anton reverted to being a full time tour guide.

I will attend to that soonest.

Despite rain yesterday this training took place and the guys who attended were in high spirits. Unfortunately no Hilux4x4 members attended, but we have a prospective member (Abri v/d Merwe) who will join both forum and club shortly.

The Brood-Hilux got a ding in the tailgate.. Pesky bluegum tree jumped in the way while I was backing up to do the high speed braking demo. Luckily I was going very slowly, so damage is not excessive....

Next training happens on 25/26 June. Hopefully we'll have better weather....

Sorry Thys, SWAMBO had other plans instead, would have loved to represent the Hilux4x4 club.
Hopefully I'll make it to one of the courses soon!
My disappointment is short-lived though, as we will be exploring the south west of Namibia, starting this weekend and only returning two weeks later!
