McCarthy Toyota not delivering on own promotions?

What would you do if you buy a Hilux/Fortuner from them, then see this promotion on their website. And they did not give you the voucher?

According to those images it does not state that Terms and conditions apply.

According to her response that would have fallen withing terms and conditions.

How I see it is no matter what the purchase agreement is that voucher is over and above as all they state is that you get it with every dbl cab or tuna purchased irrespective of the contract.

Insist on a copy of the terms and conditions of that promotion on official documentation from Toyota.

If nothing you are well within your rights to insist on that voucher or even sue them for false advertising.

As jy nie by hulle regkom nie, gaan kla by die National Consumer Commission. Die Consumer Protection Act maak na baie goed verwysing, maar onder andere dat 'n "consumer has the right to be treated fairly" en ook dat jy kry wat die produk belowe. Jy kan nie uit die wet uit kontrakteer nie, so niemand kan meer agter T&C's wegkruip nie.

Ek is nie seker of jy die rondte gaan wen nie, maar maak hulle lewe so moeilik as moontlik. Dis baie maklik vir jou om 'n klag te le en dit gaan hulle tyd en geld kos om te antwoord. Dalk raak dit dan net makliker vir hulle om hulle beloftes na te kom...

Just a quick update on the promotion, here is the latest response from Toyota Midrand,

"Good day Wayne,

Apologies for my delayed response but I was in and out of meetings since 7:30 this morning. Attached our T & C’s as received from our head office earlier today. I investigated the matter and found that one of my sister dealerships placed this ad on an old stock unit and it was sold last week. As you could see on the attached picture, it stipulates “only at participating dealerships”. This was not a special for my dealership. If you requested information on this special earlier before we concluded your deal, we could have given you the correct information upfront, but as you’ve only requested to get out of your trade-in.

I hope this clarifies the matter.

To Jana, you have actually disclosed that you were aware of the promotion! Why are you only getting this information now? . And secondly, "If you requested information on this special earlier before we concluded your deal, we could have given you the correct information upfront, but as you’ve only requested to get out of your trade-in." This comment by far making me want to puke and smell my old underwear. No matter if your dealership was involved or not, as a " SA Toyota Agent" it was your responsibility to inform your costumer on "best deals" weather it's old stock or not. Very disappointed, take the blame and fix it!
