I'm no landy lover but they get knocked so often that they are mostly underestimated. Got excellent approach / departure / break-over angles (better than the lux), lightweight body and superstructure gives an improved COG (again, better than a Lux).
Generally a more capable vehicle than the Lux IMO, but where I think it falls down is overall reliability, tend to snap ½ shafts and that lightweight cab offers less protection to occupants in roll-over situations. Impressive clip!
Still love my Lux!

When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Re: Nogal impressive Landy!
Just out of interest, what is the ground clearance of a Defender? Somewhere I read that it is 325mm, but I can't see why. They run similar tires to a hilux SFA or Land Cruiser, so surely they must have the same ground clearance of around 240mm? (Or are they measuring it from the axle, and not from the "pumpkin", which is the lowest point for an SFA ...)
