DHA - Passport Application

I applied at Krugersdorp DHA on the 23 of August, and I was quite surprised, all their systems is electronic, I did not fill in one form!

And I have heard guy's saying the got their passports within 7 day's!

Hope mine comes in as I am supposed to go to Swakopmund on 10 September.

A mate got his in 8 days from the Witrivier office!

Now, can the licence department see how it should be done?

I called them, very polite

My passport is ready! 8 days!

I also had a similar experience at the Centurion DHA... Just wish everything else in the country was also that quick.

Wil ook gaan vir n paspoort wat moet n mens als saam vat, ID, bewys van woonadres ens. Dankie

As jy reeds 'n paspoort het, wat geldig is of nie, dan vat jy net dit saam.

From their website:

To apply for the passport, you must submit the following documents:
• A duly completed passport application Form DHA-73
• Your original identity document and a copy, or a birth certificate and copy thereof if under 16
• If under 18 years, parental consent for issuing of the passport. Please see Tourist passports: persons under 16 for the requirements
• A completed determination of citizenship Form DHA-529 when applying from abroad
• Present any existing valid tourist passport or if you have lost your passport or it has been stolen and you are applying for a new passport, you must provide a loss of passport report (DHA-335 ) and confirmation that you reported the loss to the police
• Two colour photographs that comply with the Passport and ID Photograph Specifications
• Pay the prescribed fee for the passport

Went early on Saturday morning 7h45 (they open at 8H30) and the queue was already 100 meter plus................will try to go a bit later. Problem with our Centurion office is parking as the Gauteng train station is across the road
