Steering wheel replacement

my bakkie steering wheel is bit run down... it's starting to peel, and leaves little bits on hands as i'm driving.

I thought of getting another on at scrap yard... what can i expect to pay?
will the later vigo shapes 2011+ also fit and not interfere with my airbag?

could i replace it myself or do i have to take it to stealers?
any hidden issue with trying to remove airbag? or is it just few screws and that it?

Shaakir, get hold of OMO(Louis) he works for the stealers and will be able to help.

mine is the standard rubber kind.. no leather. rubber just busy rubbing of on my hand. has become bit brittle from sun exposure.
could one have it covered in leather? Any recommendations in CT? it might be a bit thick though?

I refinished the dash, door panels and steering wheel on my wife's Isuzu Trooper, as well as the door panels on my 2003 Hilux. Factory look, and so far very durable. I used SEM Products COLOR COAT in spray cans to do it.

You sir are a legend! This is exactly what I've been looking for.

Now, how do i figure out what colour i need...
Also, where did you buy it? Did you use the primer etc. or just the classic coat?
