I am in the process to sell my 2004 Toyota Hilux KZ-TE D/C 4x4.
It have a dent on the mudguard and bonnet. See Photo. Drive into a erosion ditch late at night while taking photos of the milkyway. I do have a quote for repair. I am selling because I a buying a Landcruiser.

What will you recommend:

1. Sell as is and reduce the sale price with cost of repair?

2. Repair and show buyer the photos of the damage before repaired?

neaton her up, you will be sure to cover the costs without dropping the price. as long as your honest about the dent. a neat vehicle will sell easier m2c

Take pics BEFORE repairing it, add the repair quote, and volunteer this information when selling.

The buyer may just notice fresh paint and think "accident" ....

and ask the panelbeater to buff up the paint and make her all pretty again ... maar dan gaan jy NIE verkoop nie ... :)

The neater the vehicle the easier it sells. Not everybody will see the potential to repair it and those who do will try to push your price down even further.

If if you dont sell her for much more after the repair, you will be able to sell her much faster when she is fixed.

Thanks for the advice. I have accepted the quote and will take the vehicle in for repair.

Thabo,

Sien foto.
Ek sal hom eerste hier adverteer.
Vra gerus as jy nog wil weet.

Ek sal die prys gee sodra ek die bakkie begin adverteer. Nog nie gereed om te verkoop nie.
