Child Friendly Game Lodge - "Bagatelle" Nr Mariental,Namibia

If like me your yearn for the bush but you have a couple of rug-rats in tow which usually rule you out of enjoying some of the more comfy (SWAMBO friendly  ) facilities then this place might be for you.

Bagatelle Game Farm is situated 60 clicks outside of Mariental (120 clicks south of Windhoek), it's child friendly and has 5 star camping facilities  :o:

tell SWAMBO that each camp stand has its own Bathroom :o: :P

Situated on pristine rooi dunes and well stocked with the usual Kalahari inhabitants, plus 2 "tame" cheetahs, "stinky" the springbok, and "Ziggy" a pet Zebra for the kids to get up close and personal with.

The main buildings have a lekker bar (met ice cold draught beer  ), a pool and indoor/outdoor dining area which are all at the disposal of the camper, not just the Larneys staying in the Dune Crest Cabins. :o :P

Dawn and Dusk Game drives are available in very lekker vehicles (see peekchaz)

We were there for 4 days at Easter, can highly recommend; SWAMBO will be well impressed too mos

Looks like a "must go" place for us okes tagging along the kiddos.

Planning to visit Namibia next year during our loooooong holiday while the world cup is on.

Now I know of at least one more place we'll be staying over!

Thanks for sharing, Rich!
