Guys,

Since this movie was filmed in Sotuh Africa, thought you blokes would be able to help out....

Does anyone have any information on what suspension and tyres the hilux's in the movie are running?

Looks like they have cut the front flare/guards and are running 34 or 35" beadlocked tyres......

would be atleast a 3" lift maybe a bodylift......

can any of you South African brothers help me out?

Max, I have'nt seen the movie, but perhaps someone here has and took note of the points you're asking about. Just from the pics you've posted it looks like theyve done an SAS. Something has definitely been raised and I'm guessing more suspension than body since the SAS would already have picked the front up quite a bit. Yep, the fenders have also ben cut to accommodate the larger wheels, which I'm guessing look more like 35" mud's or swampers of some kind.

Hope someone who's seen the movie can help you out further. Happy hunting!

Those tyres look like it could be 35" Maxxi crawlers. My guess is they probably have either SAS or Camel Suspension

I don't see any reason why they would've done an SAS. It's just a "stunt" movie car.
I say suspension lift, body lift maybe, and what looks like 35" tyres.

As for wht suspension they used, well, there's no way to see, so all would be speculation

They would have also cut huge chunks out of it just to make whatever fit, so that it looks good. They wrecked it anyway, so structural integrity was not high on their list of priorities..

The Hilux used for the 'airborn' scene (see pic below) was a brand new 4x4 DC, brought over from Australia. A friend of had the pleasure of rolling it through the air!
Helluva thing! Definitely no CGI
