They took the vehicle to Krugersdorp on 31 Dec 16 and completed the police clearance there on 04 Jan 17. Now they are trying to arrange transport for the vehicle to get down to Cape Town...

According to tracking company SAPS is no longer assisting them either they are just driving around on their own looking in known hotspots.

I really think the odds are extremely slim now.
