Hi Jeremy. 97K is crazy.. I bought my 1997 2.4 petrol with 177 000km for R82 000 2 years ago. That was with BFG All terains 10 000 km on. Brospeed exhaust. And a few other extras. I'm not sure of the gradients but it may be worthwhile to cut a piece of hardboard to the shape you are thinking of as a template to achieve the best gradient to suit your bakkie. You can just hold it against the back of your xtracab with something, look at it from the front and adjust the lines to ...

Ja it's not too difficult to do. But if you havent worked on sketchup before you may struggle a bit. Just out of interest incase I one day find myself with the same problem.. how do you repair it? Just take it out, clean it and then put back? Or is the issue more serious than that?

To prevent this can the alternator not be moved higher in the engine bay?

Best bet is to check with 4X4 Mega world. They supply the ARB range and will have all the experience to answer correctly.

You can also then ask them about how your suspension will handle the extra weight. With my old SFA I would need to add another leaf to the front set to handle the increased load.
