Is it easy to get to the diesel filter? i.e. can someone easily do it themselves?
Provided the warrantee / service plan has lapsed I know manufacturers get sticky about stuff like that?

Re: Opnion required

When buying second hand I would go as far as insisting that the vehicle goes through an AA check. If the dealer is against it walk away. I will even go as far as saying if it passed the check I will pay for the AA test and if it fails the check the dealer must pay for it, and the repairs needed, and...

Hey guys So as some of you know I am looking at getting a "new" Hilux I'm still in 2 minds about the 2.7 VVTi and the 2.5 and 3.0 D4D Is there a limit on on the amount of mileage on the vehicle that I should take in to account I would assume that the petrol or diesel would have different a...

That's excellent! (for a V8) I could never get my TD below 10l/100km on the open road and in town she was closer to 13/100km. I generally drove like a calm person, however on the console by the rear view mirror if you set the trip computer to instant fuel usage I did on occasion manage to hit 96l/1...

I would say that if you really just want a nice Bakkie that you can play with on the odd occasion but mainly just use to commute a 4x2 is fine with diff-lock however if you want to seriously play off road go for the 4x4 although the 4x2 with diff-locks are pretty capable they are no match for a 4x4....

according to this site http://www.tkb-4u.com/code/resist/resist.php its black black violet but its obviously best to ask when buying them.

it also depends on how many bands the resistor has.

Re: Indicators too fast - using resistors?

on a cars electrical system especially for the likes of indicators the system is balanced so if you have say 6 indicator bulbs and one blows it will cause the lights to flash faster as ther is more voltage available via the relays etc.. ( from what I can recall) in Joco's case he has 2 missing bulbs...

Re: Indicators too fast - using resistors?

if the bulbs are bright enough and you want to look at using resistors what you need to do to find the correct Ohm level you can use this calculation R = V 2 / W or in this case V squared / W[ so lets say 12V ( 144 after its been squared) / 20 Watts = 7.2 Ohms if I recall correctly 7 Ohms on a resis...
