Re: DECIDING WHETHER TO INSTALL CHIP ON A HILUX 3.0 D4D
I've had the RaceChip Ultimate on my 3.0 D4D for 14 000km now. HAs not skipped a beat and I'm loving it. No problems at all and I get 11,5km/l open and urban mixed driving. It really brought her to life. Haven't used any oil or coolant as it should be. Overall I'm very impressed and happy with the u...

Re: 3.0 D4D Manual Clutch - 1st gear shudder
Hi there.
I got a 2nd bakkie and it had the exact same problem. Bad batch from the supplier. After all the arguing with Toyota SA and the dealer I opted to get it fixed. They replaced it with an apparent "uprated" clutch.
All good so far. I hope you get sorted bud.

your best bet is to call Planet Electronics and ask them. They are very helpful.

Re: Happy with your Chip or not Poll (Hou op lui wees en vote!!)
Been using the Rachechip from day 1 on my vehicle.
It's not skipped a beat and pulls like a train between the 2 and 3k rpm range. I have left it on the standard setting and it suits my needs perfectly. She pulls very easily without having to gear down. Consumption sitting around 10l/100km

Re: Apple watch owners on forum? Alternative?
hiya Let's establish a few things before jumping onto the smartwatch wagon :D: 1. What is the main purpose of the watch? Heart rate monitoring? Sports? 2. Battery life is not really such an important factor. We plug our smartphones in every night? Why not just plug your watch in too  18hrs is n...

Re: 3.0 D4D Manual Clutch - 1st gear shudder
So after much debating and many phone calls I am getting a brand new vehicle... I think Toyota South Africa are actually very good at what they do. Even though they are not the ones replacing my vehicle. The dealership is doing the replacement as they feel it's the right way forward. I owned a MErce...

Re: 3.0 D4D Manual Clutch - 1st gear shudder
Gosh, so I got some feedback from Toyota today.
They want to replace the whole clutch next week Monday. The vehicle has 400km on the clock.
I'm worried

Re: Happy with your Chip or not Poll (Hou op lui wees en vote!!)
I have a RaceChip Ultimate laying around my place that I had installed on a Mercedes I used to own.
I have sent it in to RaceChip so that they can configure it for the Hliux 3.0 D4D.
I will gooi it in next week and let you know how it goes.
Peace

3.0 D4D Manual Clutch - 1st gear shudder
Hello All Recently joined the community and introduced myself in the noob section  My Hilux is only 100km old. I have been cruising around getting used to the feel of the vehicle but something is bothering me. On 1st gear pull off especially under load (let's say on an incline pull off) whe...
