Re: Spot light relay affecting headlights - KZTE

Stefan, thank you for helping me out with understanding these circuits, i appreciate it  It is always good to have an understanding of how these things work. I must admit i was a bit stumped and i didn't quite understand how the high beam/ low beam wiring on these Hilux's worked but i have ...

Re: Spot light relay affecting headlights - KZTE

Chris, i just finished a quick test rewire following the wiring diagram you suggested and it works perfectly, switch and all. Wiring in the headlamp commons to pin 85 was the key. I just need to get some more wire to run through to the switch tomorrow as the 4mm wire i had is a bit overkill but i ca...

Re: Spot light relay affecting headlights - KZTE

It is just a manual switch, so i am not sure why there are so many pins on it. I think i have just found the post you are referring to thanks Chris. I have a decent understanding of how the relay works but i am still a bit unsure of what should be wired up to the + In on the switch? I would ideally ...

Re: Spot light relay affecting headlights - KZTE

Thanks for such a quick reply CasKru. That makes sense and would explain why my lights won't dim when the switch is at the off position. I would imagine that as long as my switch is earthed the problem may persist? Do you have any suggestions beside maybe removing the switch all together? Thanks Jet...
