Re: A340F D4d Auto Box

Got stuck, engine revs but not going anywhere. Dropped sump, found lots of metal at the bottom. Box was removed and stripped, couple of the gears are stripped, plastic washers melted. Looks to be non-salvageable. So looking for a new box. Does anyone know if a 4x2 auto box would work? I've been told...

Re: How far can I drive with a front CV boot throwing grease?

My CV boot cracked while in Rustenburg, taped it up with self fusing tape, and cable ties. It got me to JHB and the return trip back to cpt with no real issues. I didn't loose much grease. Once I got to JHB I stuffed grease through the crack and retaped it again. Sent from my ANE-LX2 using Tapatalk

Hit 190k on mine last week. Haven't had any issues with it. Just change the oil.

Drive is nice. Could do with a 5th gear though. Get a pedal box also, makes it much more enjoyable to drive.

Consumption wise I get about 600km off a tank.

There may be a rattle sometimes. But I put a piece of fuel hose over the hook which solved that problem. Other than that no real issues besides the stuff behind the seat hitting each other, clever packing sorts that out. The mod itself is simple enough. Just take the seat out then hit the brackets d...

I seem to have a leak on my pipe from turbo to intercooler. I have already taken it off, cleaned and replaced. But still seems to be leaking. Logic dictates next step is to replace the gasket? It's a metal gasket. Also, should there be oil coming out? This effectively means my turbo is leaking oil? ...
