The old SFA Hilux does not have a soft ride; weight in the back does help, the heavier the better but the down side is increased fuel consumption. Reducing try pressure makes a difference; try 1,2 bars + 100kg.
The make and size of tyre you are using my also be a factor?

Can’t find one LR in the list of participants; don’t think they can lay claim of been the best, not the by a long way.

In terms of number of entrants Toyota can lay claim to being the BEST 4x4 BY FAR!

1,8 OK if empty, but with a heavy load definately NO. Remember the question was about a general country road found anywhere in SA.

Jacques, obviously your Hilux is not a SFA model. Believe me the HDP shocks have softened the ride on my SFA.
