Re: FORTUNER VIBRATES (ON THE PASSENGER SIDE) BEYOND 110 KM/H

Hallo Alex.

Re: Kubu island advice.

Ryan, I can tell you virtually everything you want to know about Kubu, getting there and out again but there is no single answer. So much depends on your circumstances. Kubu is a VERY special place and although quite desolate does provide a rewarding experience. Firstly, using Martin's Drift border ...

Re: glue-ing Perspex ?

Chris, Chloroform is the thing to use! It creates a bond by "melting" the two pieces together rather than glueing. Try a local pharmacy or this guy - Tertius 021 933 5545. If you don't come right, get back to me as I can help but my stocks are in Jhb and will incur courier cost to get it t...

Re: Camping in Kasane -Botswana

Neil, get there as early as you can in the day - by 11 if possible and you'll be sure to get a spot. You'll be able to stay as long as you want - don't worry about the 3 day story.

Re: Camping in Kasane -Botswana

There are many options in Kasane itself as well as the river front into Kazungula. Check Tracks 4 Africa for LOTS of options including contact details etc. That being said, you mention Chobe River Lodge. Are you sure you don't mean Chobe Safari Lodge? If so, "reservations" at the camp sire...

Ventilation/Aircon

Is there a way to change the default settings for the fan's air source?

It really frustrates me that at each start, it systems defaults back to the re-circulate option - I'd like it to stay on external air. :beg:

Yup, I agree. There is not enough info make a thorough diagnosis but this is certainly the most obvious.

Alternately pick up the phone and speak to someone at NL. They are very customer friendly.

Re: Camping fridge/generator question

That snomaster will draw up to 20 (possibly even 25amp) each time the compressor kicks in and will then revert to between 2.5 and 5amp.

The genie plus cables and connectors will need to handle that <25amp load.

What do you mean "cut-out"? Is it not simply that it's reached the correct temperature?

New bie Intro

Good to be here and look forward to being able to offer and get good advice. I don't yet know all the folk here but might be known from a few other forums that I am, or have been, active on. Got quite a bit of experience with Hiluxes and Cruisers but more so with older models. Also very experienced ...
