Query: 1995 SFA DC 22R Passenger Wiring?

In the left passenger footwell, behind the panel, there are these plugs (see photo). A couple of plugs have been looped and the rest are disconnected. Notes: • The side indicator has been removed due to snorkel. • There is a UHF antenna above but unit was removed before purchase. • Rear left indicat...

East London Mechanic - Recommendations?

Hi,

It's looking like my 06 Hilux DC 4L V6 (1gr-fe) head gasket has gone.

Looking for recommendations for a local mechanic that will do a quality job at a reasonable price. Who do you recommend and why?!

Thanks!

Re: 12V LCD Television - Anyone installed?

*** Update *** Ended up finding out that the 19" Sinotec TV - although advertised as 240V, it actually has a 240v EXTERNAL adapter with a 12v laptop style input plug. 25W max usage, with USB input, and 3.5mm audio output that I could plug in an external speaker for greater volume if required. C...

Air Con - Works for 5min then off?

The AC in 06 Hilux 4.0 V6 cools for 5min then blows normal air. The light on the switch stays green the whole time. The only way to get AC working again is to switch off AC button, wait another few minutes, then switch on again. It will work for 5 min more before I have to repeat. Any ideas what cou...

4.0 V6... Is this normal?

Just got a 2006 4.0L V6 with 270,000km. Never had a Hilux before, I am not mechanically minded, and am comparing with my previous owned 2007 4.0 V6 Nissan Pathfinder... Wondering if the following is normal for the Hilux? - When AC off, the external normal fan air is very warm, even if the outside te...

Mount x2 RTT on 2006 Hilux DC with Stockman bars?

Looking at going camping with x2 adults and x3 kids. Have two roof top tents to place on a 2006 Hilux DC. Anyone have experience doing that? And best way (cheapest!) to attach reliably? I currently have stockman bars on the rear tray, made of 40mm galv pipe, with three horizontal cross members (like...

Re: 12V LCD Television - Anyone installed?

Thanks for your replies. DVDs are so 20th century... take up space, scratch, skip etc. Wish to use digital files on USB [emoji3] Some DVD headunits have a USB input in the front so they will work - but only have 6/7" screens in the dash/headrests. If I could output them to a 19"+ screen in...

12V LCD Television - Anyone installed?

Planning my dual battery system and wish to run a 19" or larger LCD TV to keep the kids happy. Has anyone done something similar or can guide me in the right direction? Nothing too extreme or expensive - just a screen bigger than 7" head units so the kids can sit around and watch a movie w...

Re: Drawer system

I am also interested in a custom built system - I am sure a simple dual drawer system could be custom built for less than the commercial units (R10-15k)???!!!
