I was also thinking, that if the humming becomes a little serious, then I'd go for a 90W140 Gear Oil first, before bringing the Transmission down. What do you think on this?

Also Noticed that, it only humms during those speeds and revs, only when I'm on uniform acceleration, if I deaccelerate, the humming goes away. Was driving completing my errands, and was noticing at the same time, so noticed this also.

Got it sorted by the grace of the Almighty.

Was the Stalk switch contacts dirty. Got them cleaned with WD40, and now the pass beam also works. :thumbup:

Group for trucks in South Africa

Thank you guys, your responses are really of assistance and I sincerely appreciate them.

I got my friend to get another breakdown truck that towed the DAF to the other yard.

Thanks Mud Dog,

The truck cannot be started as the engine is to be overhauled, therefore the truck won't have any brakes on her at all.

Guess I better ask my friend to get a breakdown truck to Tow her.

Thank you Tim and Johan, If I got you correctly, you meant to engage the transfer case but with the front hub locks on the free position? If that's correct, it wouldn't damage the transfer case? After Johan's response, I'm feeling reluctant to do this. The terrain has one up hill, short, around 2 me...
