I found the filler plug, it is on the top/left hand side, but a 24 mm socket or spanner does not do the job Toyota SA said it's a special tool to loosen the plug. Any special tool to be used to remove the filler plug?

Cause was "O" ring or gasket did not seal well enough - I suppose there was a slight "sweating" and someone try to tighten the bolts, in result of messing up the gasket.

I went to Langebaan over the weekend and filled up. Range meter on dash shows "0" Consumption and all other info working great. What or where can I look? To answer your question, yes, mine did the same than yours. Surely not the most accurate notification on the Hilux I don't trust it anym...
