Spent the afternoon like a contortionist removing the fuel gauge sender unit from the tank.

No change in resistance from the sender unit - any idea where to get one from in the Cape Town Northern suburbs area?

My van has developed a fairly serious oil leak on the transfer case output shaft, any tips on repairs (besides buying the proper seal from the stealers) would be welcome.

Are you lowering with a load on it.? Normally they free fall without a load but when loaded they ratchet down.

I picked up a small thorn hole in the sidewall, a really small pin prick of a hole. Any advice on how to repair it? Please can anyone tell me where the control unit of the glow plug circuit is located?

I have found the relay - in the engine compartment, the timer - underneath the cover in the passenger footwell, but still need to find the control unit, any advice?

Check that the crankcase breather on the top of the tappet cover is clear, I had all kinds of oil leaks on a Jetta before when the grid filter in the tappet cover was blocked.

I spent some time examining the two CCC Cheap Cheerful Chinese motors on display at the local Auto Zone - If my diesel gives me any grief it gets junked and in goes one of those - for 7G you cant go wrong.
