Use 95. It makes a difference after 3/4 tanks of fuel. Also mine started better hot or cold with 95 in the tank. I just felt mine was much smoother all round with 95 in the tank. I could do 650 on a 90l tank of fuel with 95. Anything less i battled to get more than 550 on a tank. Sent from my iPhone...

I think it will be best to do the complete trail, no use in driving only a few. Also the risk on the trail with all the rain I do understand that the trail owner will close sections. So I think lets give it a week or so to see what happens.

Cool! Great idea. I'm wondering if I should do that or one of those little fan chiller boxes Nic I would personally do that, instead of the thermo cooler box. They are very power hungry and not really that effective at keeping cool. It is also more versatile as you can put a lot of things in there.

Ziyaad, I will not recommend Poly bushing on your Fortuner suspension. The guys in Australia says it makes the ride very harsh. Still one of my to go to places. Andy Pieter will very unlikely fit a RTT to his Hilux. What you saw that looked like a RTT is the 270 Awning on the side. Both you, I and Pieter prefer the versatility and less space of a ground tent.

Just go check the car out before you get excited. I have been disapointed with many webuycars vehicles, they look great on the pictures but often not so great when you get there. HI Jan,

The drive shaft oil seal possibly gave up the ghost. To replace it you will have to remove the shaft first. Do yourself a favour and get the oil seal from the Agents. They are really not expensive and if you are going to do all that work, best is to ensure it will not leak again there.

Pieter you should try and source a prado intake pipe as they should be able to fit easy seeing that the air cleaner and length of air filter to intake looks almost identical to my old Prado.

I have bought my Prado with a factory navigation unit fitted. It proves usefull for when driving around places and not always having to have a GPS.
