Here is an interesting video about GL4 and GL5, BUT, also check the test the guy did with same viscosity of oils of different brands. This might explain why some oils result in sticky gears and others not. The video will start at 11:35 because before that he just shows how he strips a gearbox. Enjoy...

Thank you for pointing that out Brian. It is because I had our own unique dies made, so the alu tubing you now buy is our own design.
So far we have for 25mm and 19mm which fits nicely.

I think Builders warehouse also stock it, but with most shops you must buy a packed of each fitting, you cannot buy it individually as you can do at your favorite online 4x4 Accessory store.

Maizey plastics also do them, but they only have branches in PE and East London. Connect it's web site is rather useless, I cannot get it to search your area. They tend to rust above the gutters. If you can see that it has been resprayed, focus on that area. The whole area, from front to back on the sides , just above the gutter. One of the 60 models are prone to develop a loose crank pulley, but I think it is the 2F, not sure. Otherwise I do not know of ...

Did you unplug the plug at the tank like Dirka said in his post?
Unplug the plug and see if it goes to E
Disconnect the 5-pin pump and guage connector at the tank.
Switch on the ignition.
Fuel guage must show E..for empty..as in nothing..all the way down.

Yes is two way action. It sucks the oil from the container into the syringe. If you want to suck out old oil you can just remove the bottle and extend the hose that goes into the bottle. Best is to remove the radiator, just make everything so much easier. The spanner on bolt and swing engine trick works great, but I prefer an impact wrench. If you wanna do the spanner trick I will still remove the radiator because if the spanner flies the wrong direction you will be minus a radiator...

Yes, release stress to prevent cracking of welds and warping. It was welded onto the table when they welded it and when they did the heat treatment.

Don't see a drain plug?
Toyotas don't consume oil, once it is in, it stays there.

The beauty is that the drain plug can now be added to an easy to reach position.

Because it is smaller, falls into the small SUV market where they have none. The small SUV is the more "affordable" market, like Jimny, some other small Suzuki's, Ford Eco Sport, etc. Small SUV is not necessarily 4x4

If the width is the same you can use the Safari one at top where it connects to the hanger and put the Hilux ones at the bottom. My Safari Jeep had only two blades at the rear when I got it and I added blades from an old Land Rover series 2 to the pack at the bottom. They were same width and it work...

I could get a engine on Gumtree for as low as R13k, but I went for Engines and More because the owner told me that he goes to Japan himself to select his engines and he always look for engines with less than 100k km.
