Re: 2.7i facelift exhaust manifold
Hi Alan & Pieter, thanks for the replies. Alan, I will check as stated. Pieter, mine is a 2002 model...didn't come out with a CAT. It does however come out with a "Torque Box"...looks like a CAT. This I have removed and the vibration did get less, albeit only about 10%... This lux is s...

2.7i facelift exhaust manifold
Hi Guys/Gals, Does anyone have a STD Exhaust manifold for a 2.7i 3RZ Hilux? It's the facelift model with the 4-Port intake Head. I have a Brospeed Branch fitted and think it's causing a resonant vibration at around 3000rpm. I want to prove this theory and will buy the std manifold off anyone who has...

Re: 2,5 D4D vraag.
Hi Jacques, my earlier post was inaccurate. the "pipe" that came loose that you are now securing with cable ties is connected to your "boost" side only...ie. the "cool" end or aluminium end...not exhaust...apologies for the error. The only way oil can get to that pipe i...

Re: 2,5 D4D vraag.
Hi Jacques, Oil blow-by is engine oil pumped through your turbo for bearing lube and cooling that's leaking past the turbo seal. Having said this it may also be a result of your Diesel fueling running too rich and now un-burnt diesel is fouling up the tube where the suction action occurs for actuato...

Louis, waste gate is the term that eluded me...you quite correct. Jacques, those pipes don't usually come off, but may have got some oil or lube on it making it slippery...your cable tie mod is perfect. Maybe just check it from time to time to confirm there's no oil seepage from the turbo going up t...

Re: 2,5 D4D vraag.
Hi Jacques, that pipe looks like it's connected to the turbo actuator, which controls the boost. It works on "suction" through the exhaust side. At a certain turbo rpm there will be a predictable suction action through that pipe which will operate the actuator and in turn open a flap in th...

The price is R150k.
I confused two bakkies...the R99K one is in PE.

hey Jacques, no need to lift suspension. You just do a Body/Cab Lift so the back of the motor doesn't touch the firewall when in position and twisting under torque. The lift will also afford you the leeway to set a reasonable gap at the bottom for Sump/Axle clearance. There is a moulded bell housing...

Yes Doppies, you fit a Toyota KZTE Radiator and keep the Mazda's Viscous Fan and the cooling is ample. The Diff/Sump clearance is only going to work once you've raised the body with a lifting kit by at least 50mm. 50mm is tight, but it can be done.
