Re: What Lockers would you fit to a SFA, and why?

Thanx for the info guys.

How do you determine if the diff is imported or local. Is the Gearmax diff lock okay if you are only using the vehicle for playing in the quarry and overlanding.?

Re: What Lockers would you fit to a SFA, and why?

Okay, please bring me upto speed here - in laymans terminology. Lockers - I'm presuming it's short for " diff lock" What is the difference between the Toyota electric diff lock versus the Gearmax diff lock. You always see on the rear diffs ( most of the 4x2 bakkies, with that littl...

Re: IFS steel rims on my SFA

Some feedback   It's all to do with the offset of the rim. The SFA Hilux requires a deeper dish rim to go over the axle knuckle compared to the IFS Hilux. Apparently the new Hilux requires an even flatter dish than the IFS Hilux. So rims off any Hilux do not just fit on another mod...

IFS steel rims on my SFA

I managed to get myself a set of the steel rims that came out on the KZTE and 2700i Hilux. I wanted to use these purely for MT tyres when I go playing. When I fitted them the rim was catching on the tie rod end and the steering rack arm where the tie rod fits in - only on the drivers side. I fitted ...

Tyre info on rim sizes and Bronco tyres

Morning forum,

Some easy questions for the morning.

#1 Anyone got any good and or bad advice, experience, etc on these remoulded Bronco tyres?

#2 How do you work out and match the width of the tyres, ie 245 or 10,5 to the width of a rim, ie 7J or 8J etc.

Re: Oil drinking 7M engine

Thanx for the input thus far, I kinda thought / felt that it could be more than just valve stem seals. When I bought the vehcile it was running extremely rich and possibly washed the bore then aswell. I tend to agree, if I'm gonna start overhauling the engine then it has to come out and have a prope...

Oil drinking 7M engine

Hi Guys, I have spent many an evening browsing the forum especially on the 7M engines and have found it quite interesting, however I have not really found anything on my little issue. I bought a 94' Hilux DC that was already fitted with a imported 7M engine which works perfectly, but seems to use a ...
