Accelarator sensor 3.0 de
My 2002 Hilux 3.de went into limp mode. Took it to SAC in Montague Gardens. The diagnostics points to the accelerator sensor. The quoted me R 3 500 to replace. Anybody know of an aftermarket part that is available cheaper?

Dit gebeur in 4x2 en 4x4 ongeag of die hubs gesluit is of nie. Gaan einde van die week Kaokeveld toe. Hoop nie dis iets terminaals wat daar gaan probleme gee nie.

knocking noise / vibration from right front of hilux
I own a 2002 hilux 3.0 de. For a long period I have noticed a vibration / knocking noise that becomes evident from 100 km/h to 110 km/h and disappears from 120 km/h. It is only on accellaration or trying to maintain a steady speed. If I take my foot off the petrol the vibration / knocking noise goes...

Thanks for the replies. I have rotated the wheels and put new Dunlop Ttracgrips on all four wheels, so it can't be a buckled rim. Although it is less pronounced, I still experience a slight vibration between 90 to 110.

Unusual shock absorber wear
I own a 2002 Hilux 3.0 de 4x4 dc. Have replaced the shocks (gabrial safari) for the second time. The front right shock shows excessive wear in comparison to the other shocks. Both times. I also have a roughness / vibration coming through the petrol pedal / firewall area around between 90 to 110 km/h...
