Re: Power saving methods and ideas

I've cut over a 3rd of my bill by using gas, my small cadac bottle costs R65 to fill and lasts just over a month so in total I'd say I'm saving R200 to R250 a month, not major but it counts towards the chrismas fund if added up over 12mnths. Other things we do which makes a huge difference. Dont run...

I use my gas stove, and by doing so, I've cut over a 3rd of my electricity bill. Hi M8

If you planning on fixing to the "steps" square frame, I would recommend putting in a cross brace either side just to give that bit extra.

If you planning on taking the 3 bikes with offroading, the jolting could be abit much otherwise.

Good Luck

Mark, it is a 3w led globe that works on a 12v supply. The standard down lighters use a 50w bulb and all we do is replace it with the 3w led bulb. It will still run on 220v power unless you want to run it off your batteries, not sure how it will work with the transformer as it already takes it down...

From what you describe, it sounds like the oil scraper rings which have started to fail, at the rpm'sand speed you doing, it can't clean the walls of the cylinder and hence the oil consumption.

You could very possibley get away with a set of rings, bearings and valve stem seals.
