Re: Lights on buzzer
There is a very neat kit you can buy from electronics 123 for about R100. I used the wire to the dashboard lights to sense that the lights are on, the ACC ON for the power (if you switch off the buzzer sounds wen the lights are on) and earthed the other wire. Works lik a dream.

Re: Fuel pump rela
I tried listening to the click, but as you say there are about three, but could not pinpoint them. Behind rh kickpanel I did find a relay, but after disconnecting it the engine still started, so I supppose It does something else.

Fuel pump rela
I am looking for the fuel pump relay on my 2000 model 2700i DC 4x4. The manual says it is on the left hand side of the cab behind the glove box. I removed the glove box and the kick panel, no relay! Does anybody know where it is mounted and what it looks like. Thanks

Re: PCV Circuit Modification
Does the charcoal canister (engin bay left hand side) on the 2700i do the same job as this modification. I was thinking of taking it out and installing an extra battery in the place occupied by the cannister. Good idea or not?

Engine Diagnostics
I see you can now buy a handheld diagnostic tool for landrovers here in South Africa. On the internet there are hundreds of these code scanners or dianostic tools available. I got one from China for most cars newer than 1996 with an OBDII (on board diagnostics) port. Unfortunately the diagnostics po...

Workshop manual
I have 2000 Hilux DC,2700i, 4x4. I bought a shop manual (the Haynes one) but there is not much about the 2700 in it, for example no diagram of the engine electronics. There is also nothing on the ABS, no torque specs for the diff pinion nuts, etc. What is the best manual on these Toyotas to buy or d...

Re: Immobiliser
Thanks for the info. Yes on my Honda I did the same. Now i only have the fuel pump disconnected by the immobiliser. I bypassed the other two relays to avoid interference with the electronics by the immobiliser. Works fine up to date. Now where to find the immobiliser for the Hilux?

Immobiliser
Hallo everybody. I am going to Botswana soon and I am worried about the immobiliser leaving me stranded along the way. I also have Ford Saphire 2.0 GLI and most of the times the car gave me trouble, it was the immobiliser. Luckily I found out that you just disconnect the immobiliser unit which is be...
