You unclip the lower catch, lift the base so the backrest lifts as well and then tilt it forward.

We make up a custom bracket that slips in under the fender and "hangs" done only using the inner fender as a base support. the load is taken up on the upper body rail that the fender bolts onto.

That battery will fit bit it will eventually crack the inner fender with that bracket. You need a custom bracket that takes the load off the inner fender. I have a pic but will post it later

I reckon I lost a month :shock: due to incorrect/defective components due to suppliers and transport time. The rest is due to having to see customers vehicles first and working when there was a gap between jobs and after hours. And with a 6 month old colicky/reflux baby, this didnot make mommy happy...

I said 30000km. I always push limits on my vehicle so I can give a factual opniion. I did 20000km with less than 2mm left and even then they were not metal to metal. Those shoes normaly have about 8mm of lining new. So measure up and calculate. But the further you go the quicker they wear due to the...

I would do up something custom there. At least with the Lexus you can swing the intake around to get the intake pipe on the left hand side.

Looks like the piston is outside in :evil:
But thats ok just as long you pump the spare to 2.5 bar and rotate your valve caps. Also just check your head light fluid.....

For those curious. 1UZ-FE Round rail motor with 63mm freeflow and running Spitronics. Vehicle has 265/75/16 tyres. This is wheel power flywheel corrected to 184kw. For the amount of work you envision it is sometimes cheaper to look for a clean rust free-ish to start off with. As for the fibreglass body: I have rebuilt a Suzuki SJ410 with one of those bodies and it was awful (to put it nicely). The fit of the doors was the worst issue! Goodluck with your build!

The 3.0 D4D's boost is conrtolled via an ecu. I would recommend you take the vehicle to Awie at Dastek Power and let him run it on the dyno.
