I am amazed that my 2001 KZ 4x4 book value at the insurance company is only R72k. However, as you all know you pay R100k and more for one of these vehicles. Just be careful that you don't wind your energy meter to beyond 99999. You will get a whopping account from the supply authority. When I worked for the municipality I could never get an old electro-mechanical meter to run backwards, except by jolting it with a welding machine.

I needed to fill up alongside 3 plugs, and then unscrew the plugs, shielded the wire and polyfilla to fill up the wall? Was this a mistake on my side? At that stage I did not suspect foul wiring... Stay away from "farm jacks" and Chinese rip offs. Get a proper "Hi-Lift" from the USA.
With the other "jacks" the chances of loosing fingers is good.
What you pay is what you get, so rather pay a little more for the genuine Hi-Lift.

Tony, the altitude does play some role with normal aspired motors on the Highveld. Well, good consumption on your side! FJ had 0km's on the clock so I didn't want to gas it. At 110 purrs at just under 2000rpm. Got close to 2000km's now so I have experienced its awesome power. Can't wait for our bot...

Jhb to Durban I got 9.5km/l @ 110kph.

Average around Durban 8.1km/l

A mechanic once told me that the moisture content in 500ppm is higher than in 50ppm.

Apparently the moisture turns to steam in the injector, and damages the injector tip. Common problem on a D4-D

I finally bit the bullet and bought a brand new 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser 4.0 V6 4x4 and all I can say is wow..

I tow my bike trailer and on occasion my luggage trailer and our rubber duck with my wife's Terios II 4x4.

Terios cruses at 120km/h without hesitation. Just need to keep the revs up on a steep uphill.

I have overloaded the luggage trailer and the Terios still coped without problem.
