Thanks guys. I wont do it then. That mentions blanking off the EGR with a plate.

I'm speaking of closing off the vacuum pipe that actuates the EGR. I suppose it will cause the same issue of the excess boost not being able to escape.

How does one go about cleaning the EGR?

Hi all I'm thinking of messing with the exhaust on my 06 3.0 D4D Tuna I understand that replacing the exhaust with a bigger diameter one will reduce turbo temps and give quicker spool up I'm thinking of removing all the boxes and using a straight pipe. Is the vehicle chipped? Is the exhaust system standard?

If the answer is yes and no, that could be the cause.

nice idea with the brake ducts. do they need to be that long? I notice with the newer cars like the BM and stuff they just have a short piece of plastic to just direct air to the discs Are you running racing brake fluid? I know other competitors can help. and your own support crew + team mates, but the camera helicopter? Especially with directions, not repairs. That doesnt sound fair even if its not against the rules.

Seems Poulter hit a ditch and broke a control arm, costing him 45 mins..

Giniel still second at the end of stage 3. Today they start at an altitude of 3000m. The Hilux is going to feel that!

the whole site is very confusing.

they need to make it simpler to read and make sense of what is going on. they have digits in brackets etc. but its up to you to figure out what that means...

WRT the coverage, be careful, there are some shows around 2014 dakar and there is another around the 2015 one. Thats whats causing the confusion. I fill till the first click / auto stop. Dont fill it full up. I dont think the amount varies as i consistently get the same amount off the tank. Other than in the case mentioned.

My predicted range puts me back at the normal 560kms off a tank This may sound stupid, but with my Corolla years ago I found that using 1/4 tank engen and then topping up with shell gave me best results. 2SO = 2 Stroke Oil (there are loads of threads around this on the forum)

The driving is the same. Home to work along the same route daily (18km return trip)
I sit for a max of 5mins in traffic each way. (fortunately)
