I started using Sasol 10ppm and 2SO in my Fortuner.

consumption went from 8.7km/L to 9.2km/L

Then I used it from GP to Durbs and it went to 11km/L

Back now for 2 weeks and it's on 10km/L

usually on a Toyota you would remove the rear seat and can then access the fuel filter and pump. The Avanza should be the same

So an update guys. I can't find any sensor cleaner anywhere. The outlets are saying that Wynns throttle body cleaner is the same thing. Can I use throttle body cleaner. Totally clueless here. Yes it works. I use that regularly. BUT make sure it says "MAF sensor safe" or something along those lines ...

There is a clutch squeal on the D4Ds thats kinda normal. You learn to live with it.
Something to do with the clutch throw out bearing and its lubrication.

Isn't the sulphur/typical diesel smell an indication that the injectors may be on their way out?
Try popping in a bottle of wynns diesel injection cleaner with about 30L of fuel and see if there is any difference

the spot welds on the scissor mechanism seem to be a weak spot. Does the motor run/try to run when you toggle the switch?
Perhaps remove the door pad and check the mechanism is in place and working

When you let go of the clutch the starter is supposed to stop swinging.
On an auto i think it works with the brake pedal.

Hi, Yes Toyota will still cover the spiral cable for the airbag issue. Regarding the clutch, it could just need that the fluid be replaced and the system be bled. Andre why did you make the base plate of the intake so thick? Looks heavy. Also, with it being thick like that will it not retain heat and in turn heat up the intake air? Have you tried replacing the brake fluid (reservoir and lines)? Even if it looks clean it may have moisture in it.

Changing the length of your intake tube/pipe will change how/where the car makes power. Maybe fiddle with that a bit.

try grabbing the airvent surround and pull it.

I believe the shocks were revised between the 2006 and 2009 models or so. Not 100% sure
