Eric seems to be the authority on this. He says check when last the cam belt was replaced and check the CV boots. Otherwise in general you want to check the under carriage to see if it has been on gravel roads often. Service history is important to see what has been done and where it has been servic...

Eric this may be more up your alley....how do u calibrate a DMM? I have a cheap one but my friend has an identical one. When we were checking the voltage on the alternator we got different readings from the battery. Do they become inaccurate if the batteries in them are getting too low?

Andy I know I am losing voltage due to the cable. I am planning to change it in the morning to a higher cable and check the connections. But straight out of the alternator should be a higher rate, like 14.3v?

Eric it is a 1N4007. I used this after discussing it with Cassie.

Andy since we changed to new diode it is stable but still around 13.9v at the alternator.

Diode was correct as the silver band was on the side closest to the earthing hole. Alternator was checked by the auto electrician and he said it was fine. Also I checked diode on the multimeter before installation and it read 567.

Lollie, it is like a BAT OUTTA HELL!!! compared it what it used to be. On top end i have not opened it out fully as yet as I am running out of road. It just scary for a big vehicle to run like that. I constantly remind myself that the brakes are still the old ones.

Here are some updated pics. Need some help though. I bought the injector plugs seperately and it seems that they are incorrect. Hi Andy. Thanks for that. I thought I replied to your last two messages but i guess I was mistaken. Have taken your advice and that of Mr B regarding the fan. Just doing the EFI and leaving the fan as is.
