What if you have a snorkel? Will that help with the air intake?

The problem I have is that the fridge is not mine, it is someone else's and he only has a hella plug fitted onto it.
I have read on numerous other topics that Brad Harrison is probably better. But how do make his hella plug work with my Brad Harrison?
