I have came across the same dilemma a few years ago with a Fortuner. Fitted a Gas type Gabriel if I remember correctly, ... and had no problems at all doing so. The OME's started leaking - but just in front.

The standard was indeed 265/70/R16. If there is enough space in the wheel arches on std coils and shock set-up, you could go to 265/75/R16 and yes 235/85/R16 is pretty much the same diameter. Ockie en die res,

Nuwe agterste solinoid is in - liggie kom nou momenteel aan as sleutel gedraai word (soos ABS liggie ook) - dit het nie voorheen nie, maar as in LR bly liggie flikker as DL knoppie gedruk word?!!!!

Dit beteken die pen skop nie in nie?

Agterste solenoid/switch is foutief en kos naby R1000!!!!

Hi Ockie (en die res), Ek weer tuis en sopas die voorste solenoid uitgehaal en getoets - hy werk reg - by Auto Electr getoets. Ek sal nou agter moet kyk. Die RR DIFF LOCK liggie bly flikker, en ABS lig is aan en groen 4X4 teken is aan. Die pen slaan dus nie in nie - want mens kan dit hoor as mooi lu...

Hilux D/C KZ-TE Rear D/Lock

Have a non-working rear diff-lock on a 2002 D/cab 4x4 - not a Gearmax one. Toyota says all the vacuum pipes work as well as all electrics. When the switch is engaged - the R/Diff Lock sign flashes red on the dash board?? I tested it - the diff does not lock. Any experience with this before - someone...
