Terry Interesting read...and I am sure you will soon be inundated with replies from specialists. My 0.0001 Bitcoin's worth: 1. The Hilux has better fuel consumption. 2. The normally aspirated 4.2 Diesel is more trustworthy and can be fixed anywhere. 3. The Cruiser is used widely throughout Africa as...

Some background...perhaps there is someone knowledgeable on the forum that can assist? Purchased in 1964 by my Granny as a demo model in PTA - pale blue in colour. This car is not restored, it is the way it was back in 64. Everything is still original and in tact. I should then perhaps say that is i...

Yip. You have to remove and clean windscreen wiper motor. Usually what happens, over time, there is so much dirt build-up in it, that it starts drawing a heavier current than it should. If a thorough clean doesn't help, you will have to replace. Mine just needed a good clean and new ghries everywher...

Having had the exact same bakkie myself, including year model, I must admit the price is crazy! There are many V6's on the market today and one of the biggest reasons is the fuel consumption. Lovely to drive, but eish! If this is going to be your everyday drive or if you intend driving it regularly,...

Nope. The head cracks from water ports to exhaust ports. So your water can disappear in two ways. Pushing back into overflow or via exhaust. Whichever way, water disappearing from a closed system is indicative of a bigger problem. Go to Silverton and have the radiator tested. Takes 60 seconds
