Re: GPS system on new 2012 Hilux
I've got good and bad news, we can import the upgrade for existing radio but it will cost 613Euro and that is for the wires, gps receiver and euro maps. I think the better option is to go Quintin's way and buy a new system.

Re: GPS system on new 2012 Hilux
In Europe you can get a upgrade kit for the unit, "Toyota Touch & Go navigation Toyota Touch & Go is the ideal upgrade if your Hilux is fitted with the Toyota Touch audio, but doesn’t have navigation. TNEX300 integrates with the existing audio functionality to also provide full map pan-...

Die Amarok gaan alles he...

Re: Hilux 3000D
I used to own a 3000D before my KZ and I beg you to stay away from it, no power and a lot of trouble. You buy a Hilux for reliability and not trouble, you might as well buy a Jeep

Re: Dripping from brake drum?
Hi Tristan, look at post "Diff housing bend", I fixed that seal twice but the oil from diff started leaking again, Gert at Menlyn Gearbox & Diff centre showed me my diff housing is bend, so every time it pushes the seal out. He says he gets the problem a lot with Toyota, not the bend h...

Re: Diff housing bend?
It is exactly what we are going to try, N1 4x4 gave me a number for a guy called Paul who said he can straighten the housing for R800; it is a lot better than paying R4800 at Gemini for a new one and wait for 3 weeks. I will keep you posted.

Diff housing bent?
:!: The seal that stop the oil from leaking out of the diff kept on breaking, Toyota tried to fix it twice but it happened again. I took it to Menlyn diff & gearbox centre, they let me know my “diff housing is bent†that is why it keep breaking the seal. Does it sound right, where can I get ...

I’ve got Monroes fitted to my hilux, excellent off-road but it is very hard on-road. It makes you want to go off-road more often. Does anyone know if you can set them softer for on-road

Re: Fitting a Snorkel?
Thanks for all your friendly greetings, I welcome it. Riaan, it was a strange incidence, I was on my father’s farm and every time the dam is full I can’t resist driving through it. When I got back to the house I told my dad that the water almost reached the window and he didn’t believe me, whi...

Re: Fuel Consumption???
Hi Niel and Eric, I tried everything, changed type of diesel, drove slow but my Hilux won't do better than 7.5. Only once when we went to Afri ski in Lesotho when I got 8.3 and I think it’s something to do with the temp. and altitude. The strange thing is it makes no difference, fast or slow, pull...

Fuel Consumption???
I did the SAC conversion to my Hilux in January last year, but I still get 7.5km/L. At first I thought it was the power, its there you just want to use it, and later it would be better. My best consumption ever was 8.3, what do you get in a similar vehicle?

Fitting a Snorkel?
It is strange, every now and then I need to change something on my Hilux. This time I am thinking of fitting a snorkel, I nearly drowned my Hilux, which brand would you recommend. I am new on this site and the Bulls lost this weekend so be gentle!
