ride is gentle and one can sort of endure the fuel consumption ( around 7-8 km/l) ride it hard and I think the pain is too much to endure. As ek mag vra, vir hoeveel gaan die ou Cruisers nou ? if you lucky you can get a fairly clean one starting at around 40k or even less ( but must know what you are looking for as there are some chancers out there...yes hard to believe but true ! :shifty: ) generally a fair condition one is about 50k...

I needed a second vehicle and so now my hilux DC has a friend ( since they come from the same stable more or less). it is a 1981 land cruiser that was rebuilt from top to tail 4 years ago. could not resist ! I see most of the hilux team is already on the landcruiser forum, so I am clearly not alone ...

Sorry, I am the "ou" that pieter speaks of but the panelbeater would not do it so did a DIY job with some farmer friends and all looks good. I think there was a place in York street ( LA Sports ?) that told me they woudl do it for about 600 rand so not cheap. good luck. It is not that diff...

made a quick dash to montagu to get some work done...but all work and no play makes one dull and grey! took of the canopy and the roofrack and turned the "groen gevaarte" into a work "trok" then managed to sneak in a few hours of short but steep mountain 4X4 fun. not sure if post...

it is and can only be canon.....but in many ways the two cameras are different sides of the same coin. It just depends on which you have invested heavily in...I am a canon man and I must say I love my 70-200 2.8...that and the macro 60mm. two of my favorite lenses !
