Bought vehicle on 160 000km, SAC chipped with intercooler. Had to replace the SAC chip at around 170 000km with a new model/version (the older type chip was faulty). Symptom: engine cuts out while driving with the engine management light comes on at the same time. Battle to start the vehicle again. ...

Try Gearbox and Diff centre. 041 453 0700.

We used them to refurbush the front and back diffs of our SFA, and were very happy with the workmanship and service. They are very busy, so you might need to wait a week or so.

We have the 3Ct motor and if you drive it nicely at 100-110km/h, 10km/l on the open road. We couldn't live with the fuel consumption of the 2.2 petrol either, and decided to to the conversion. Once we actually managed to get 13km/l on our way back from Kgalagadi! Has not happened again though :)

We have a 3c motor in our lux. It started its life as a 4Y petrol, it is now a 3C diesel conversion. We use our lux mainly for overlanding and trails. The engine is strong enough for this. When putting in a 3C, make sure that you replace tour existing radiator with a 4 core radiator. As its a diesel...
