Play in front drivetrain

Hi,

Had the rear propshaft out on my SFA and took vehicle in for a spin in FWD but whenever I accelerate I get a rocking thumping sound. The same happens when I release the accelerator pedal.

Is it due to worn out bushes or mounts?

Or look at the Isuzu 4jb1t 2.8 diesel. Very reliable motor and lighter on diesel than the Mazda WL. Also now that the Chinese use the exact motor in the JMC bakkies spares should be easy to come by for a long time.

Its not going to look complete because you can't attach the front centre caps. SFA looks best with steel rims or mags from that era IMHO.

This is my boy. Took him to the vet in the week because he has gum disease were it grows over his teeth(common in boxers). The vet was shocked to hear his 8 years old. Still a healthy 34kg!

Also just wanted to add, when we walk our dogs, some people cross over to the other side of the street, and nobody stands close to our gate, also no intruders since we've had our boxers, they look mean.... but are fantastic with all children that have come to visit, including my 3 yr old granddaugh...

While you at it i would suggest removing the fenders and panel below the windscreen to access the water run off chanel. Its prone to rusting if not already. Spray it with Dura Bak or similar.

With regards to the fan blades and radiator, is it not dangerous to have them so close together. Surely on start up and heavy acceleration the engine mounts tend to flex and the engine moves a small amount?

Gents,

Can I swap my rear ring&pinion from a local Gearmax M80 diff (SFA Shape) into the rear Gearmax diff of the IFS shape? What code diff did they come with M8??

I want to buy a local diff with diff-loc from the IFS shape but most are only 4.55 ratio and I need 4.88.

I had a similar problem a while back. I can't understand why toyota didn't put a locating funnel for the hoist like they done on the old SFA Hilux. That van is almost 20years old and its still easier to change the tyre.

I got there at 10am. Went on a few dunes but the heat was unbearable and Hilux doesn't have aircon. Couldn't take the risk of getting lost or stuck being a noob in that heat. Left like after 30mins.
