Re: Hilux dies in reverse gear

Re: Hilux dies in reverse gear

Update 4 : Die Lux hardlopp weer!

Re: Hilux dies in reverse gear

Re: Hilux dies in reverse gear

Update 3.

Dankie

Re: Hilux dies in reverse gear

Het nuwe injectors laat insit so 6 maande terug.

Re: Hilux dies in reverse gear

Update 2. Saterdag oggend gestart - so 15km gery toe stall die bakkie.

Re: Hilux dies in reverse gear

Net n update. Hulle moes my sleep die laaste 100 meter werk toe. Weet enige iemand of daar n elektriese ...

Re: Hilux dies in reverse gear

Re: Hilux dies in reverse gear

Hilux dies in reverse gear

Hi all - as always this is my first stop for some mechanical info - hope somebody can help. Long story short the bolt that holds the pulley tensioner for my fan belt came loose and caused me to break down as the fan stopped spinning. There was lots and lots of smoke from the exhaust when this happen...

Re: Diesel not starting in cold

This was the 3000D. The engine was still going strong, but overheating, and a snapped timing belt caused the chaos. I think just to many things wrong at the same time. Maybe the previous owner(s) also abused it.

Raait, miskien moet ek maar n update hier gee aangesien iemand anders dalk dieselfde probleem kry. As julle kyk, was die laaste post 14 Januarie - en op 14 Augustus het ek my bakkie teruggekry - lekker 7 maande sonder my trok! Anyway, R40 000 later, dit is wat gebeur het. Na vele workshops en mense ...

Re: Diesel not starting in cold

I am no mechanic, but the motor overheated and cylinder head and sub-assembly needed to be replaced, plus about 100 other parts coming to R40 000.00 I had 177 000 on the clock, so once again I had bad luck with my choice of cars. So, is there a cheaper way to sort out this starter, can you recon it....

Diesel not starting in cold

Yo! Hope somebody can give me an answer here. I have a Hilux 4x4 3.0L diesel. Replaced the whole engin (overheated) for R40 000, and it went good for the first week. This weekend the problem began, it would not start. Replaced the battery and it started! Tried Monday morning - dead! Tried last night...

Hi all, seems I only use this forum when something goes wrong with the bakkie, so any help would be appreciated. I have a 3.0 Diesel 4x4 raider double cab. Re: Some questions on brakes and radiator.

Hi Caskru, did check pads, shoes etc when I replaced the front 2 tyres. The vibration kicks back on the pedal itself. Could it be air in the brakelines? The rear diff still has oil in it, couldjust have been some excess.

Starting 4x4 driving

Hi all, can anybody suggest a good way to start getting involved in 4x4 driving - is the best way to join a club? I would however need some training first, does Toyota do 4x4 days etc. to get to know the vehicle and the do's and dont's. I am in Centurion, so anywhere close by would be great. Thank you

Re: Date for the National: Hilux forum get together

Hi guys, as I am new to the forum, I am not sure what this get together means. Can anybody with a Hilux join, or is it a closed event? and what does it cost? is it like a 4x4 trip, or just a get together to meet each other?

Thank you
