Re: V6 - Urgent experienced advice please

Thanx all for the info, I ended up not buying that one, and I think end the end, my love is still for the D4D, so now the hunt is on for one of those.

Cheers,

V6 - Urgent experienced advice please

Hi Guys Im looking at a 2008 Fortuner V6 Auto 4x4 and while test driving it, there is a whining noise coming from the engine. It goes away as you go faster, most likely because of general road noise. Its not the drivetrain, all is working hundreds, and i also hear it when stationary and revving the ...

Very nice... think its called an AmaBROEK! Anyway, on Toyotas side, here is a pic of an Artic Truck 200 I drove around a bit up in Afghanistan. This one had 42' Wranglers on, only one downside... because it has been armoured, it weighs in at just under 6 Tons GVM. PS: it was -22 in the pic brrrrrr :...

Facelift Radio & Brake problem

Hi, I have a 2012 D/C 3.0 D4D, and just want to know if anyone has encounted the following 2 problems. 1. The rear drum brakes have been very noisy intermittently. Mostly under medium to heavy braking. This happens in town sometimes but more often on the long trips, braking from higher speeds. Been ...

Re: GPS system on new 2012 Hilux

Hi KPG,

Do you mind me asking what you paid for the unit? And who installed it and what that costs?

Lastly, does the GPS work well and what maps are used?

Thanks,

Re: Aussenkehr Nature Reserve

Thanks Pieter, I see on Google Earth there are some very narrow sections close to the river, about 20km from Sendlingsdrift. The other thing I was concerned about is of course SAND, seeing that the road does follow the river so closely especially to the West of the Fish/Orange confluence and Witblit...

Hi Members, Has anyone done the trip below: Vioolsdrif - Aussenkher - Fish/Orange Confluence - Sendlingsdrift It goes all along the Orange around the Northern side of Richters. I am considering going that way around into Richters. Just want to know if the road is OK and what T4A has to say? Thanks G...

Re: Hi from PE

Thanks Mud Dog,

Yes it has taken some time, but here I am. The more I read the more I wish I had stretched the budget and went the 4x4 route...

Anyway, love the cab and will have to see what the future holds...
