Please advise guys, What's better for biodiesel, 2006 isuzu kb300 or 2010-2012 tata xenon 3l or 2.2 dicor? Then what's better value for money? They going for similar pricing but a good deal on the 3l came up. .. I've left the gwm cos tata seems to be better, the 2.2 gives great efficiency and perfor...

Re: BIO DIESEL and GWM
Correction on the GWM steed injectors - they are actually the same price as the np200 and corsa chev diesel injectors at around R5000 excl vat. It was the diesel Isuzu's (1999) that had cheaper injectors at around R1100 each, a huge difference in price. I'm just worried that the GWM is expensive to ...

best vehicles for BIO DIESEL
I am selling my hilux 2.4 petrol dbl cab and want to get a diesel to run on biodiesel (not sure about running on Hydrogen/H20 yet) I started researching the corsa utility diesel or np200 diesel but found out the costs of possible injector failures are around R5000 per injector, so feeling like I'd r...

Fuel consumption data of my Hilux
Here's my info sharing post on fuel consumption for the benefit of all: I was active a few years ago trying to decide about changing from carb to electronic fuel management system and decided not to change anything and go and see schalk to do a dyno tune. Schalk (in pretoria) is brilliant, he discov...

Re: SFA Hilux Bull bar?
Just thought I would take this bullbar opportunity to get the forums view on this: the additional resistance the bullbar adds to reduce the aerodynamics and increase consumption. I have one of those BIG old-school bullbars that go slightly above the bonnet around the lights- I have been thinking of ...

Re: Engine efficiency/performance
Thanks Bennie, I spoke to schalk and will go and see him to tune things right and talk about the EFI option too... the EFI conversion will cost around R6000-R9000 I expect (from looking around the forum) and I asume I should expect a much more efficient driving experience with this conversion (up to...

Re: Engine efficiency/performance
Hey guys, yes tempting to get more power hey, but I was told by Ewald I should expect R25 K for the conversion - abit pricey for my pocket, so maybe wil change the leads (another recent post by George indicates much better running and power_ and then I want any of your guys opinion if a dyno really ...

Re: Engine efficiency/performance
Welcome, I've got a 2.4 (22R) and love het to bits. I can control her idling on rock crawlering like no fuel injection system can. My 2.4 has a Brospeed stage2 on. My 2.4 was just as bad as yours, her is a list of stuff I did. I had the original carb refurbished and rejetted at SAC. Installed a ele...

Engine efficiency/performance
Hi All, I have been reading up on the forum here an there an can see options for conversions, it seems its always best to stay stock standard to get the best efficiency - am I right? But my 2.4 hilux (has a free-flow - I think a wildcat) is dam slow and it guzzles petrol- I can only get 300-400 off ...
