Re: Fong Kong 4Y carb
Thanks Marnus
Will go the route suggested but was hoping that the 2y carb could serve as a backup if the Fong Kong one turned out to be a bust.
Cheers

Thanks all - pse keep the responses coming in.
I am going to post the same request on 4X4 Community Forum so if you have responded here, pse don't reply there (unless you need an excuse to post more pictures and show those less fortunate, what they are missing).
Cheers

Re: Chinese 4Y engine in a 2nd Generation Hilux Surf
Hi Jaco - another 2.4l Diesel - too expensive to recon so put in a "grey' import engine - that worked like a lead balloon - trying petrol this time around. John Hi Borntofish Found a brand new one with aircon & power steering fitted for a customer who changed his mind - my score - hope all ...

Re: Chinese 4Y engine in a 2nd Generation Hilux Surf
Hi Ali3n Mine is the 2nd generation (IFS) - somewhere between 89 & 94 as far as i can work out - was first registered in SA in 1999. Can get a new Chinese 4Y motor with bellhousing, power steering pump & aircon compressor at a reasonable price which, if my measurements are correct, will drop...

Chinese 4Y engine in a 2nd Generation Hilux Surf
I have already posted this in the Surf section but am also posting here with the hope that it is seen by more members. I am looking for advice - I have just blown the 2LT diesel engine I replaced 10000km ago and am contemplating replacing it with the 4Y petrol engine. (decent condition 2LT diesel en...
