Hi Johan, I have checked and: - on dims the tail lights work and the dims don't work - on next setting "main lights", tail lights work but not front lights - brights work. I have not checked the relay yet. Is it possible that both "main beams" can go together on the globes? Appre...

Hi, If anyone is able to assist ... I have a Hilux 2.5 D4-D 2007 and on getting into my vehicle to drive home tonight, no dims or headlights but brights work perfectly. Hi, Late entry here ... any training is good as said but Groupon finds some really interesting service suppliers - I have had two really memorable incidents and one of them was with a chap (un-named) that drove in the Top Gear festival etc. and, as a first intro to 4 x 4 training, not a great start....

I recently went to play in the snow at Underberg last weekend and came to the conclusion that, with the fantastic bash plate from Mark, I did a bit of snow ploughing. Conclusion ... Need some height! Looking at upgrading via the 4x4outlets is just too costly so I am looking at a shopping out myself....

The 500 is good and one that is on the "old list" but as far as I know, does not yet have a replacement. I am using a nuvi 710 and Garmin have the 500 as a replacement for the 710.
I think that you are safe buying the 500.

I have now found out that the issue is the front diff actuator and the part has been ordered ... Toyota are moving their parts warehouse so just waiting to hear. Job should cost just under R4K. :shock2: Thanks for your help Mark! :thumbup: :thumbup:

Try some dry ice and flex the zip to break the adhesive bond (cold temp will embrittle the glue) - works with chewing gum in carpets most times. Hope you come right!

Just got back from SAC and much better performance. 90.2kW and 312Nm. Part of the issue was that the original carpet under the pedal was only allowing 70% throttle. Sorted out and much better response and the fuel efficiency was tuned in better. :yahoo:

I had my vehicle in today to get the issue resolved but it is not that simple so if there are any solutions or guidelines or pointers I will be appreciative ... very. :beg: After inspection all the mechanical stuff checked out fine and the problem was traced to the electrical connection to the front...
