Seeing how great you feel after getting your bakkie, reminds me of the day i got mine. Better than the day your kid is born;). Well not really, but it is a great feeling and I'm glad you got to experience it. Have fun with the bakkie, hope it runs smoothly for a loooong time;)

Re: A dream, finally come reality. (SFA content)

Took a slope incorrectly and rolled the car. After it was fixed up, it never quite ran the same, just like all cars. ...

Re: Mikes 1998 Surf

Nice truck! Great area to be in if you have a Hilux. Tackled the salt pans yet?? I did that 9 months ago, took us 3 days to get across them, got lost and had to rely on compasses to find our way;p. So many different trails and routes to go on in Botswana, if you're looking for places to go check out...

Wow, you really have gone the distance in that car. The highest i had ever seen was 219k km. And you have completely doubled it!! Would love to see a list of the places you have visited. Must be a view pages long;). How is the cars performance though? Usually most cars are traded in and destroyed af...

Re: 1981 Toyota Trekker

I must say that when i saw the name, I was about to come on here and complain that this is a Hilux forum, not Toyota. But you have completely overturned that complaint the marvelous work you've done on that car of yours. From the begin it was a piece of metal that belonged in a scrap yard, but you'v...

Re: My new van

Welcome to the club of Hilux owners!! The Hilux you've got to me is probably one of the best, off-road and road cars out there. Its capable of climbing a few peaks, and traveling at a decent speed on gravel with out to much bumps, but can still perform will on the road. It obviously can't be used to...
