Re: Hilux Relay- Indicators
Hi Dries, The problem is definately the extra globes in the circuit from the aftermarket bumper. I removed the globes hooked up the van and all works as it should. I'm off to find led globes. I hope I can get orange led globes????? Alternatively a beefed up flasher relay that can handle the addition...

Re: Hilux Relay- Indicators
Hi Dries, I have the same aftermarket front bumper. The TJM type. Perhaps the additional indicators are the cause of the problem.
When I get a chance I will remove the globes, hook up the caravan and test. LED globes may be the way to go.
Will let you know.
Regards
Greg

I've got a similar problem with my 2006 4.0L V6. On it's own everything works just fine. As soon as I hook up my caravan, the hazards dont work. If you press the hazard switch, they only flash once then nothing after that. I've connected the caravan to another vehicle and it works fine. I'm sure it ...

Re: D4D Inaccurate Oil Level On Dipstick
I have the same problem on my V6. I've tried twisting the dipstick when pulling it out but that did not help.I am considering draining the oil to measure the actual volume vs the specs. Otherwise I will do the same on the next oil change.

Hi Andy, Thanks for your reply. Mounting the hitch off-centre certainly helps from a visibilty aspect. I found it was much easier to direct the van when I could see down the length. Late introduction
Hi all,
I've been browsing the forum for some months now so I thought it was about time I introduced myself.
The name is Greg, been Hilux mad for a long time. I finally got my mid life crisis sorted - a 4.0L V6 Vigo!
Looking forward to many hours of advice & info from fellow members.
