An extra 5cm of bonnet scoop is not going to give such an increase in power that it will be noticeable. Remember you inter-cooler has a plastic cover onto which the scoop seals to prevent water from flowing into the engine bay. This plastic cover also needs to be changed, as well as the inter-cooler...

Probeer ook so werk dat die std breedte van die plaat ook die breedte van die dak is, dan hoef jy nie te las op die dak nie.

Toe ek destyds my canopy gebou het het ek baie dun plaat gebruik, ek dink rondom 1mm. maar ek het stewige deurrame gebou van 20x20 sq tubing. Dit was overkill.

Depends on what speed you are driving at on the open road. Anything over 110/120 and there is a lot of wind resistance. Besides, 11km/l on a D4D is very good, no matter where you're driving.. :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

Just a tip for guys with Vigo's that keep losing mudflaps... Buy Fortuner rear mudflaps next time. They are shorter and chances of ripping them off when reversing are considerably less. :thumbup: I made new mudflaps from aluminium checker plate for my Hilux. I was told they wont last long, but hey.....

Just had a quick look on Gumtree... You can buy a 2002 4x4 KZTE D/C for less than R100K...
