Re: Long overdue project.

Jip Andy, I think I started making the liner when the roof was still off. It will be the only SFA with a solid roof liner, like all modern vehicles come out with today. Fitted the lining today quickly then my glue ran out, so I still have to finish around the doors and windows.

Re: Long overdue project.

Yes Thabo, I stopped mine about 20 mm from the sides, will see. Made a duct to fit in the cab where the air con duct goes. Made a galvanised frame. Quite difficult angels to do. Covered the frame with masking tape and fiber glassed the inside. Took the tape off and fiber glassed the outside. It must...

Re: Long overdue project.

The one I used on the roof is a 6 mm with a foil lining on one side which I put o the roof side. On the floor I used a 10 mm one that did not have a foil lining on it. In February we get temp of up to 53 deg, so we will see how much it helps next year.

Thanks all. Louis, I am using it to try for sound deadening mostly, it does not hold moisture and is cheaper than underfelt. will see how well it works. It is those thin exercise mats that one gets at sport shops.I got mine at Mr Price sports.

Have not done too much work lately, been a bit sick. Was off on Friday, so got some stuff done. Put the lining in the roof, got most of the floor done, ran out of lining. Did all the interior wiring, roof lights, speaker and reverse camera.

Did some work on the load bin this weekend. I also did some wiring. The relay and timer for the wipers is in the switch on the steering shaft. I also managed to short my circuit sheet that fits behind the dash cluster. Does anyone maybe have one lying around that they dont need? :beg:
